Notoscincus is a genus of skinks. They are also known as Soil-crevice skinks or Snake-eyed skinks. The lined soil-crevice skinks (N. butleri) are located only in arid northwest Western Australia. The ornate soil-crevice skinks (N. ornatus) are known to be found from the far north of Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland, to South Australia.
