Small lizards found along the side of the path in Yarra Bend Park. Predominantly dark copper/brown, with rainbow-like iridescence from certain angles
Lampropholis, the Indo-Australian ground skinks or Sunskinks, are a genus of skinks in the subfamily Lygosominae. It belongs to a clade with the genera Niveoscincus, Leiolopisma and possibly others of the Eugongylus group. They are found mainly in Indonesia and Australia. For similar skinks see genera Bassiana, Pseudemoia, and Niveoscincus.
