Description

Also known as the Tope or School sharks, these sleek semi pelagic species use the bay to feed and reportedly pup.
Commercially fished out for their livers in the 40s, this population may have rebounded, however these sharks are now getting protected in Canada where they range.
Sea Stewards is currently working on verifying this and with the Shark Watch tool we hope to this year. Part of the San Francisco Bay Shark Study.
