Description

This was easy to spot. The distinct yellow flowers stemming from the weed-like leaves made the dandelion very apparent against the dry brush background. These were not too common in Corona Heights, but I did come across a few on my trek.

Taraxacum officinale, commonly called Dandelion, is a herbaceous perennial plant of the family Asteraceae (Compositae). It can be found growing in temperate regions of the world, in lawns, on roadsides, on disturbed banks and shores of water ways, and other areas with moist soils.
