Liatris (pronounced /laɪˈætrɨs/; common names: Blazing-star, Gay-feather or Button snakeroot) is a genus of ornamental plants in the Asteraceae family, native to North America, Mexico, and the Bahamas. These plants are used as a popular summer flowers for bouquets.
