Description from Wikipedia

The false trevally, Lactarius lactarius, is species of fish in the family Lactariidae. It is also known as the milky travelly or the parava, and is found in pelagic-neritic, brackish, and marine waters. This fish is also commonly known as butter fish, and in Telugu as methani paara amongst fisherman community in Andhra Pradesh, India.
