Helps cleans the kidneys but very poisonous if not boiled properly
Also called Wild Ginger, this plant is native to most forests on the west coast of North America. Wild Ginger has bright green heart shaped leaves, and unique 3 lobed flowers in the spring. This particular plant was found near the Sem II building on the Evergreen State College campus.
Many growing on the side of sandstone cliffs or at the base near springs at Little Finland, all past bloom.
