I don't know what it is (yet), but I love it.
Update: I do now: Tethya californiana, the orange puffball sponge, apparently common sub-tidally 'round these parts.
Took a bunch of sponge pics sunday. Unfortunately this is the only one I could identify.
Hadromerida is an order of sea sponges belonging to the class Demospongiae.
