Woodhouse Toads in Oklahoma County near Air Depot and I-240 in a residential area.
I am glad to still find these toads. They used to be ubiquitous in this part of the country. But now I only find pockets of them, even when we are not in the midst of a drought or heatwave.
The Woodhouse's Toad, (Bufo woodhousii) is a medium-sized (4 inches / 10 centimetres) true toad, which is native to the United States and Mexico. There are two recognized subspecies.
