Description from Wikipedia

Melanophryne carpish is a rare and little-known species of microhylid frog endemic to Peru. It lacks eardrums, and at a cursory glance it resembles leptodactylid frogs of the genus Phrynopus where it was initially placed. It also has no tympanic annulus and stapes, making it probably extremely hard of hearing.
