Description

Mitchella repens L. Partridgeberry

This plant grows a two flowers that make only one fruit often called twin flower or squaw vine. I have read that it is rare but I see it everywhere here in the Pineywoods. We are so blessed.

Description from Wikipedia

Mitchella repens, or partridge berry, or Squaw Vine, is the best known plant in the genus Mitchella. It is a creeping prostrate herbaceous woody shrub, occurring in North America and Japan, and belonging to the madder family (Rubiaceae).
