We gathered with around 25 other iNatters for the Big Thicket BioBlitz -- it was the best time ever to explore with fellow naturalists.
The final day that we could stay for the bioblitz, a large group of us battled the fog and explored the northern Canyonlands unit.
Many of these ID's are tentative -- I'll have to work a bunch on them later. Lots of new things for me! :)
Mitchella repens, or partridge berry, or Squaw Vine, is the best known plant in the genus Mitchella. It is a creeping prostrate herbaceous woody shrub, occurring in North America and Japan, and belonging to the madder family (Rubiaceae).
