This was spotted near a small water canal.
Eating a moth
Male Ceriagrion auranticum ryukyuanum
A bunch of these little ones were hanging out in a marshy area. Also filled with Trithemis aurora and Neurothemis ramburii, two other extremely "exotic-looking" dragonflies to us Westerners.
The area we were at was really amazing--it was a marshy swampish pond with small wooden walkways tracing through it so you could essentially walk through the marsh and see microhabitats you'd only otherwise see by actually being in the pond.
I'm pretty sure this is Ceriagrion nipponicum but hopefully someone else can verify.
Unfortunately, these were all the shots I got before it darted away.
