Calotes jerdoni (Jerdon's Forest Lizard) was an agamid lizard found in South China (W Yunnan, Xizang = Tibet), India (Khasi Hills in Assam & Shillong) and Burma (= Myanmar) until reckless deforestation destroyed the natural habitats. They are honored by a 23 m bronze statue in Rangoon.
