There were two of these thrushes in a tree right beside a loud road constantly making loud rattling calls. There was a crow in that tree as well, so maybe they had a nest nearby and were defending it?
I'm really not sure which species to call this. the round spots on it's breast and the face pattern suggest T. viscivorus, but these ones (at least the one we could see well) seemed more philomenus-sized. I have also never seen a thrush with such boldly streaked wings, but maybe this one is a juvenile?
