This is the population near end of runway with a mixture of both the red to orange to orange green to green specimens present. As noted by Cam Kilgour the red coloured species have a flower scape with multiple flowers up to 14.
These ones appear to be somewhere in between with the orange/green coloration.
More of the red colouration with its first set of flowers forming.
Common on sandy soils.
This is the more abundant red coloration. This one noted as having 5 finished flowering scapes which appeared to have had >4 flowers. I will upload better photos once I can get my images off camera.
Growing in more of a depression north of previous observation. Flowers forming. The coloration was heading towards more of a reddy orange.
Growing almost side by side with previous observation. These ones more of a orange/green coloration.
Living in swamp habitat and browsing many species.
Wild or stray or domestic cat in swamp/dune habitat.
This specimen was the only one with a open/semi open flower. Right at southern extent of population and on airfield. These ones were under regenerating Manuka up to around head height. Growing on sandy clay material. From aerial still within excavation scar. Details to plants locations provided by Cam Kilgour and @marshy.
