weeds in semi-landscaped area where the lawn was removed (& weeds allowed to come in for teaching purposes); in the last 4 photos, the leftmost species is F. annua, the middle one is F. autumnalis, and the rightmost is F. littoralis

Description

weeds in semi-landscaped area where the lawn was removed (& weeds allowed to come in for teaching purposes); in the last 4 photos, the leftmost species is F. annua, the middle one is F. autumnalis, and the rightmost is F. littoralis.

iNat is treating F. annua as conspecific with F. dichotoma, which has been accepted by some workers in the past, but i think current taxonomy maintains them as distinct. if i'm keying correctly, this is F. annua, NOT F. dichotoma.
