Locally common in these two quadrants. Long - over 5ft and the points are very sharp as can be seen in the first photo. Those will go through clothing and skin if you are not careful.

I am hoping that as I have the flowers(?) that I will be able to get a confirmed ID for this being Juncus edgariae - especially as it is endemic :D

Sheez - I thought there were a few small bushes of this and then noticed a very large tree trunk in the bush that was not the usual and taking a look at the foliage way at the top realised it is this.

Needless to say, once there is a window of sun, this and the large one will be thoroughly poisoned :D

Damn - a couple of seedlings coming up in the aqua quadrant but I pulled them out. the main trees of this is in one corner of the orange quadrant and will be dealt to when there is a window of at least 3 days sun so I can happily poison it.

Found out today that I need to not only lop but use the gel to stop regrowth as some I had lopped a few months back are re-growing. couldn't gel today as it is raining, but at least I know and will not bother lopping these when I can not gel.

Think this is the right species as there are some planted on other properties. If I drop this one with a chainsaw it will damage native bush, so another one on my "next fine window" will get the poison.
