Found on stem of Willow tree at about 1.4 m in air. Surrounding plants were Lodgepole Pine, Willow, and Sedge.
Weather was partially cloudy with moderate temperature (55 degrees F).
Elevation: 3 m.
Environment moist to borderline wet.

Key features: Large foliose thallus with deep forest-green lobed upper cortex. Lower cortex presented tomentum, cream to light brownish-cream in creases of lobes (reticulate). No soralia present. Apothecia numerous as red to reddish-rust-brown shallow cup-shaped to flat disks.

This lichen was found on the Hoh Rainforest trail among leaf litter on November 19th. The habitat was slightly wet likely due to cold weather and rain, the weather was about 60 degrees. The upper cortex of the lichen is a greenish brown, but faded to brown as it dried. It maintains lobes but no lobules and had brown/tan apothecia, this lichen has no isidia or soredia. The lower cortex of this species was also brown/tan but with tomentum. The spot tests for this lichen were negative
