Looks like I've seen this same species on this water while on couple of Pelagic bird-watching trips earlier.

There were 2 individuals very near. Have seen about 4 individuals whole day. They're hanging around water parts where we'd seen lot of dead fishes floating around, probably thrown out by fishing boats. So they're probably feeding on free meal.

Size about 3 to 3.5 feet. Other individual seen very near was under 2 feet.

Female killed a dragon fly. The spider was about 10 cm up, it descended slowly using web to a nearby perch and then pounced on the dragon fly, I ran in and got my phone for a few pics, by which time the dragon fly became immobile. Hyllus I've seen take big prey at my garden.

Lended by other fishing boat. This went to some our stomachs, while on pelagic birding. 😂

Not what is thought of as "normal" D. grandoculis, perhaps due to be split. Size of eye, pupil shape, labial count, and coloration do not match D. grandoculis but it is accepted as said species under current taxonomy.
