Hylotelephium triphyllum is a accepted taxon on plantarium.ru with several observations on iNaturalist.
Please do not create/commit a taxonchange yet. I would like to discuss this before changing anything!

@apseregin what do you think?

H. triphyllum is just an occasional taxonomic error introduced by Byalt as far as I remember. Should be transferred to H. telephium subsp. purpureum

Hello, @kastani and @kai_schablewski! We once again faced this problem here https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/20551666 It's time to make decision. Thereby, I personally think that it is worth to accept H. telephium subsp. purpureum widely used in iNat.
But I won't dispute if both H. triphyllum and H. telephium subsp. purpureum would be descarded in favour of Hylotelephium telephium following POWO (http://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:274226-1).

H. triphyllum and H. telephium ssp. purpureum are nomenclatural synonyms and H. triphyllum is rarely used as a specific name when H. telephium is accepted
the International Crassulaceae Network https://www.crassulaceae.ch/de/artikel?akID=66&aaID=2&aiID=T&aID=2282 simply lumps all the names under H. telephium
in POWO the status of both the names is now listed as synonymous but without a link to any accepted species
for nomenclatural stability the best way to handle the case seems to be (at least for the time being) to connect H. triphyllum and H. telephium ssp. telephium under the latter name
I will commit the swap in a few days if there won't be objections

@convallaria1128, could you please cite the links for proposed swaps in the comments? Just for reference

Does the name Hylotelephium telephium subsp. purpureum, exist ? Not in that article cited or IPNI or Google.
Not comfortable at using a made up name.

eh, that's a point. seems like ssp. purpureum has never actually been recombined under the species in Hylotelephium

I wasn't able to modify the previous taxon change and convert in into a 'merge' instead of a 'swap'
