We're now in line with what you describe and also with IUCN which considers S. macrodon a ssp of Species Saimiri cassiquiarensis
but are otherwise in line with Mammal Diversity Database
https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_framework_relationships/604854
iNat mammal taxonomy follows the Mammal Diversity Database or IUCN. We do not try to keep up with primary literature, see https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/curator+guide#policies for more details. In this case we are following IUCN because they provide maps, which are necessary for re-assigning identifications (neither MDD nor Lynch-Alfaro provide maps). It is also worth noting that Lynch-Alfaro in fact recommended 5 subspecies, not all of which currently have recognized scientific names:
"Our interim recommendation is to consider five subspecies of S. cassiquiarensis, which correspond to clades: cassiquiarensis, albigena, macrodon A (Marañón and Napo Centers), macrodon B (Inambari Center) and macrodon C (Imeri Center) in our phylogenetic tree."
