But POWO: lists it as
http://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:329164-1
valid as with 14 Synonyms viz:
Callista moschata G.Don
Callista muscari G.Don
Callista nidiflora G.Don
Callista trossula (G.Lodd. ex J.Forbes) G.Don
Erica bonplandiana Sims
Erica bonplandii G.Lodd.
Erica cruciformis Andrews
Erica cuneiformis Benth.
Erica fragrans Salisb.
Erica moschata G.Lodd.
Erica nidiflora Salisb.
Erica scoliostoma Klotzsch
Erica trassula Klotzsch
Ericoides muscari (Andrews) Kuntze
But BODATSA does not recognize it,
And it is identified in Kew as Erica nidiflora
which is also not listed in BODATSA or the electronic Erica key.
As this species is not listed anywhere in South Africa, it will never get an observation allocated to it, except by mistake.
OK I made this deviation https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_framework_relationships/287028 but I thought your approach was going to be to try to work with POWO to get these changes made there?
@loarie
Bodatsa and GBIF https://www.gbif.org/species/5683943
list this as a Synonym of Erica daphniflora var. muscari (Andr.) Bolus
Please add Erica daphniflora var. muscari to the dictionary and swap this into it.
