The iNaturalist taxonomy accepts 21 species of Mitella (plus one named hybrid) but POWO accepts just two (plus two hybrids). POWO segregates the remaining species of Mitella into six genera: Asimitellaria (11 species), Brewerimitella (2), Mitellastra (1), Ozomelis (3), Pectiantia (1), and Spuriomitella (1).

Reminder: delete synonymized names on genera if swaps are committed, check merges to make sure no important infraspecies are lost, and split genus Mitella, if possible.

I support the swaps BUT something is fishy with Mitella x inamii, accepted by POWO. If there are only two species accepted in a genus, then by definition there can only be one nothospecies (unless you make some argument about parental donation). I'll look further.

This paper says it has the combination M. furusei var. furusei × M. pauciflora: https://academic.oup.com/mbe/article/22/2/285/963872

(Asimitellaria furusei × A. pauciflora, in our swaps and merges)

Strange. The protologue (https://ia803206.us.archive.org/4/items/journal-japanese-botany-44-070-070/journal-japanese-botany-44-070-070.pdf) calls it A. pauciflora x A. stylosa. I don't see that is has been recombined in Asimitella.

I suppose we could get away with simply not adding it, for the time being.

Agreed.

Thanks @rynxs et al. Once this flag is resolved, if someone could add tribe Heuchereae, that would be great.

I would skip A. inamii. It is obscure enough that Yudai Okuyama forgot about it! Thanks for updating from my paper, this will be useful! Let me know if you need a reprint, I see you are using POWO but I think it is correct from what I have looked at.
