The moaning frog (Heleioporus eyrei) is a burrowing frog native to south-western Western Australia. A robust medium-large frog with short legs commonly found around the Porongurup.
A winter breeder building a burrow that will flood after rain. Larvae hatch and remain in the foamy egg mass in the burrow until it is flooded.
