Leaves: palmately lobed, 3-8 inches long, heart-shaped base, 3-7 lobes
Bark: green and hairy – red/purple and hairless
Fruit/Seed: 1/3 diameter berry, blue/black, resembles a grape
Height: 6-30 feet
Flowering: May - July
Habitat: moist woods, woodland edges, clearings, thickets
