Shape: Vine
Leaf/Branch Arrangement: Opposite
Flower: Yellow tubular shaped
Leaves: egg shaped with pointed tip, 2-5 inches long, 1 ½-3 inches wide, pair at tip of flowering branch join around the stem
Bark: thin, gray, peeling
Fruit/Seed: round-oval berry, 1/3-1/2 inch long, orange/red
Height: 3-16 feet
Flowering: June - July
Habitat: woodland edges, forest clearings, thickets, stream banks, forested swamps
