Shape: Tree
Leaf/Branch Arrangement:
Flower: cone, male; egg-shaped, 1/3-1/2 inch long, in dense cluster at base of new branches, female; small, cylindrical, yellow/green, at tips of new branches
Leaves: evergreen, rounded-triangular needles, bundles of 5, 2 2/1-5 inches long, straight
Bark: grey/brown, loose and scaly plates
Fruit/Seed: cone, long, 4-8 inches long when mature, flexible, soft scales
Height: 80-120 feet
Flowering: June
Habitat: upland forest
