Leaves: evergreen, long and skinny, bluntly pointed, 1-2 ¼ inches long, ¼-2/3 inch wide, edges rolled under
Bark: grey, densely covered in copper-grey hairs
Height: 1-3 feet
Flowering: May - June
Habitat: cedar/spruce bogs, sphagnum wetlands, lake and stream shores
