Leaves: uneven heart shaped, finely toothed, 4-6 inches long
Bark: grey, ridged and furrowed
Fruit/Seed: greenish, round, woody nut-like berry, ¼-1/3 inch diameter, covered in minutes hairs
Height: 60-110 feet
Flowering: June - August
Habitat: deciduous forests, woodland/field edges, urban landscapes
