• Shape: Multi-stemmed shrub
• Leaf/Branch Arrangement: Alternate
• Flower: White bell shaped
• Leaves: leathery, pointed oval, ¾-1 ½ inches long and 1/3-2/3 inch wide, finely serrated edges
• Bark: green, smooth appearance
• Fruit/Seed: round, blue berry, ¼-1/3 inch diameter
• Height: 12-20 inches
• Flowering: May - June
• Habitat: open woods, rock outcrops, pine barrens, peatlands
