Shape: Tree
Leaf/Branch Arrangement: Alternate
Flower: White elongated cluster
Leaves: pointed oval, serrated, 2 ½-4 ½ inches long, 1-2 inches wide, may have orange “mustache” along mid-vein on underside
Bark: black/brown, “burnt potato chip” texture on mature trees
Fruit/Seed: purple/black cherry, 1/3 inch diameter
Height: 50-100 feet
Flowering: May - June
Habitat: hardwood forest
