CAP 2-5 cm, slimy-viscid, obtuse to broadly convex, at times slightly depressed, rosy-pink fading to cream and drying grayish pinkish-buff; flesh thin, pallid to cream. ODOR and TASTE mild. GILLS broadly adnate, subdistant to distant, pallid to cream drying grayish pinkish-buff. STEM 3-6 x 0.3-0.8 cm, dry, cream drying grayish pinkish-buff, silky smooth top, hairy base. HABITAT in mountainous areas, often near snowbanks. MICROSTRUCTURES spores 12-15 x 7-9 microns; DV.
