Pelophylax ridibundus
Identifiaction 2
P. ridibundus is safest to identify from the pelophylax mess with the hybridisation adn all. For its belly is spotted. these spots are numerous and dak unlike in the other two Pelophylax sp. and make it easy to discern this. Also the bulb on hind legs is small and looks like a deflated baloon. The vocal resonators are dark.
Ecology and Behaviour 2
The Pelophylax genera is characteristically waterbound. It tolerates even the presence of fish unlike virtually any other our amphibian species. So it can be found in larger water bodies. Practically everywhere, but the bodies have to be deep enough to give them the overwintering option as these frogs overwinter on the bottom of their respective pools.
Identifikace (CZ) 2
Skokana skřehotavého lze stejně jako naše ostatní zelené skokany nejlépe poznat podle patního hrbolu, který je plochý a připomíná vyfouknutý balonek. Břišní strana těla a nohou je často sitě a tmavě mramorovaná a rezonátory sjou taktéž tmavé.
