Description: The Great Blue heron has a slate blue back, bright yellow bill, and tan neck. They have a jet-black tuft on their head and a shaggy lower neck. They feed on fish in shallow water.

Habitat: Any water environment fresh or salt.

Fun Facts: When feeding, they creep along the water’s edge and then dive on their prey stabbing it with their sharp bill. When they call, they sound like a raspy trumpet.
