Description: The Song Sparrow has a plump brown body with brown streaks on the breast that end in a single dark spot. They have gray and brown stripes on their heads and a long rounded tail. Their legs and feet are pink.

Habitat: One of our most common sparrows found in brushy thickets and marshes.

Fun Facts: The typical song of the Song Sparrow has three short clear notes followed by a buzzy tow-wee and a trill. Song Sparrows use their song to attract mates and to defend their territory.
