Description: Adult Yellow-rumped Warblers have distinct yellow patches on their rump as well as their throat, crown, and under their wing. The males are black and gray and the females are a dull brown. They are often seen in large flocks foraging in the middle canopy for berries and insects.

Habitat: Open coniferous forests and shrubby edges.

Fun Facts: The Yellow-rumped Warbler can winter further north than any other warbler species.
