Pink salmon(Oncorhynchus gorbuscha) are a popular sport fish. Originally from the Pacific Northwest. Now found in the big lakes. Will swim up rivers in the fall to reproduce, then the adults die afterward. A top-level predator that feeds predominantly on fishes and aquatic insects.

How to recognize: Small fleshy fin on the back in front of the tail. Large black spots on the body. Scattered large black spots on the upper and lower lobes of the tail. Breeding males develop a large hump on the back. Up to 2 feet /0.6 meters long.
