Fabaceae | yellow sweet clover
A smooth, loosely branched plant with small yellow pea flowers in slender, cylindrical, spike-like clusters rising in leaf axils.

Habitat: Waste places and fields

Flowers: 1/4" long; cluster to 6" long.

Leaves: Compound, with 3 lanceolate to ovate toothed leaflets, each 1/2-1" long.

Fruit: Small, ovoid, 1-seeded pod.
