The Gold Rim Swallowtail or Polydamas Swallowtail(Battus polydamas) is a butterfly of the family Papilionidae.

Mostly residential in North America where habitat is DISTURBED AREAS (Scott 1986). Host plants are largely restricted to one genus with most known hosts from ARISTOLOCHIA. Hosts are usually vines. Eggs are laid on the host plant in clutches with 10-14 eggs per clutch. Individuals overwinter as pupae. There are multiple flights each year with the approximate flight time from JAN1-DEC31 depending on latitude (Scott 1986).
