Mimic Dorid

Baptodoris mimetica

Summary 4

This dorid mimics its Doriopsilla cousins. Apparently the only way to tell the difference in the field is to flip them over and check for oral tentacles, which Doriopsilla species do not have.

Baptodoris mimetica is a species of sea slug or dorid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Discodorididae.
