Plant descriptions ²

Leaves reduced to a linear, spine-tipped petiole with a narrow lamina along one side forming a narrow shoulder near the spine tip, resembling a single linear leaflet, c. 8 - 21 x 0.5 - 1 mm.

Similar species ²

Related to T. pungens by its spiny stipules and leaf tips and glabrous pods.
