Leaflets 3, elliptic and rounded to shallowly notched at the base and apex, occasionally of 2 divergent, rounded lobes, the terminal leaflet 15 - 35 (-40) x 10 - 24 mm, glabrous above, thinly appressed-pubescent and greyish beneath. Flowers c. 10 mm long; Calyx 6 - 8 mm long, sparsely appressed-pubescent, with 4 narrow, triangular teeth, the teeth longer than the tube. Pods sessile, oblong, flattened, slightly curved, 25 - 35 x 6 - 7(-9) mm, the apex with a short downcurved beak, with 3 - 5 seeds.

G. tenuiflora ressembles to Dumasia villosa by its leaflet shape and overall appearance; But can be distinguished by its truncate calyx and its yellow-velvety pods.
