Plant descriptions 1

Leaves few, small and early-caducous, with a single pair of leaflets, produced in the axils along the margins of the cladodes; Leaflets sessile on the pedicel, oblong or obovate to subcircular, 6 - 12 x 3.5 - 9 (-12) mm, cuneate at the base, rounded apically, glabrous above. Flowers 4 - 5 mm long; calyx bell-shaped, c. 3 mm long, densely covered in dark brown scales, with 5 triangular, obtuse teeth c. 0.5 mm long; Petaloid staminodes 5, narrow, linear-obovate, c. 4 x 0.75 mm. Pod shortly stipilate, obliquely subcircular to oblong-discoid, flattened, (14-) 17 - 22 x (11-) 13 - 16 mm, apiculate apically.
