Racemes compact with a robust axis, densely several-flowered (usualy more than 5), the densely spaced scars of fallen flowrs giving the axis an angled and ridged aspect, (5-)10 - 40 mm long; Leaves represented by a phyllodinous petiole which is never constricted, the (solitary) leaflet absent or soon caducous.
