Carpenteria californica /ˌkɑrpənˈtɪəriə ˌkælɨˈfɔrnɨkə/, the sole species in the genus Carpenteria, is a flowering evergreen shrub native to California. It is closely related to the genus Philadelphus. Common names include tree anemone and bush anemone.
