The cactus mouse (Peromyscus eremicus) is a species of rodents in the family Cricetidae. Their hindprints are 10 to 16 mm long with 5 toes while the foreprints are smaller with 4 toes, as seen in the picture of the black cactus mouse. The fur color on this mouse can vary. Their fur color is darker above than below. Also they have a really long tail. A lot of the times the bottom of their body is white. Their scat looks just like any other mouse scat so there is no significant difference to tell this scat apart from other scat. But their scat does look kind of like little pellets. This particular species can be found in iron county.
