The Oak Besma (Besma quercivoraria) is a moth of the Geometridae family. It is found across southern Canada (from Newfoundland to British Columbia) and all of the United States except California.

Habitat 8

Deciduous and mixedwood forests.

Life cycle 9

The larvae are cryptic, and resemble twigs in colouration and texture. The pupa overwinters, and adults are nocturnal and come to light (Wagner et al. 2001). An uncommon moth in Alberta, usually only encountered in low numbers.
