Plaxiphora (frembleya) egregia

Description 2

Small 15 to 26mm long, 13 to 18mm wide. Plates pale green. Front plate with 10 radial ridges, rear plate a single ridge. Other plates just 2 radial ridges. Plates patterned with front to back darker green parallel lines. Skirt/girdle yellowy-brown with tufts of bristles.

Distribution 2

Found under hold-fasts of giant kelp. Cook Strait, South Island, Stewart Island.
