Summary ²

Craugastor is a large genus of frogs in the Craugastoridae family. It has over 110 species. Its scientific names means brittle-belly, from the Ancient Greek krauros (κραῦρος, brittle, dry) and gastēr (γαστήρ, belly, stomach).
