Summary ²

Exclamation Damsel is very rare in San Mateo County. It is a California endemic and is found at quiet pools and, occasionally ponds bordered by alders and willows; it is particularly found in sun-dappled patches of blackberries and other vegetation. With only a few observations of this species in iNaturalist, it is considered uncommon.
